FREMONT, NE- The Fremont Moo offense was once again able to get more than ten runs, and the Sabre Dogs were unable to keep up. The Dogs have now lost six straight games with an 11-6 loss Tuesday night.
The Sabre Dogs started ahead with an early 1-0 lead after the top of the first, but Fremont answered with five runs in the bottom of the second. Souris Valley was only able to get one more run until the top of the seventh. They were able to get four runs in the seventh and eighth innings, but it wasn’t nearly enough.
Crews Taylor finished his day 3-for-6 with a solo homer with two doubles. Mason Dinesen also had three hits, but in five at bats. Luke Quick finished his day 2-for-4 with an RBI.
As for the Moo, their offense has been on another level as of late. They have now scored more than ten runs for three games in a row. The Moo have also now won five games consecutively and are in position to make the playoffs.
The (what seemed like) comfy three-and-a-half game lead the Sabre Dogs had on the Pierre Trappers after the All-Star Break has been trimmed to one-and-a-half games after the Trappers were able to best the Hotshots.
The series finale on Wednesday will start at 6:35 p.m.
