CASPER, WY- The Sabre Dogs extended their winning streak to twelve games after an 11-7 win Saturday night. Offensively, they were able to take advantage of the struggling Casper Horseheads pitching unit. The Sabre Dogs had some solid relief pitching to top it off.
Marcelo Terrazas was the Sabre Dogs’ starter, and he set up the offense for success with five earned runs and just two walks in six innings. Chase Grillo shut the door with two innings of relief in the eighth and ninth innings. He allowed no runs, one walk, one hit, and struck out four batters including three in the ninth.
The Sabre Dogs carried their success from the Wheat City series into Casper with Jase Edwards leading the way with three hits and three RBI. The Sabre Dogs racked up eleven runs against a Horseheads pitching squad who has a team ERA of 7.42.
On Sunday, the Sabre Dogs will attempt to tie their league record 13-game winning streak that the Sabre Dogs strung together last year. First pitch is at 5:35 p.m.
