SABRE DOGS END REGULAR SEASON WITH 9-3 WIN OVER PIERRE TRAPPERS

MINOT, ND- In the Sabre Dogs’ final game of the season, they were able to get solid pitching and a big offensive inning to give them the 9-3 over the Pierre Trappers.

It took a while for the Sabre Dogs’ offense to amp up, but when it did, it didn’t let up. The Dogs only had two hits going into the sixth inning, and they were not willing to let that slide. They proceeded to score seven runs putting them well out of reach of the Trappers. Although they got a lot of runs, it was walks and errors that really did Pierre in.

Sam Powers was the only Sabre Dog with a multi-hit day as he finished 2-for-3 with an RBI double, two runs, and two steals. Jase Edwards had a multi-RBI day with a two-RBI triple in the sixth, and Crews Taylor hit a two-run home run (11).

The Sabre Dogs have their divisional round matchup against the Badlands Big Sticks on Wednesday, August 7th in Dickinson, ND.
