SABRE DOGS LOSE LEAD IN FINAL TWO INNINGS, LOSE 7-6

CASPER, WY- The Souris Valley Sabre Dogs lost Friday night with a final score of 7-6 to the Casper Horseheads. The Sabre Dogs raced out to a 6-0 lead, but lost it all in the final two innings.

Bradley Spooner got his second start of the season and took advantage. He went six innings and gave up no walks, three hits, and no earned runs. He has pitched his first 20 innings without allowing a single earned run. The Sabre Dogs are starting to find consistency in their starting pitching which is a great sign for the team. As for the bullpen, this outing was certainly an outlier. The bullpen has been, arguably, the best aspect of the team.

Offense was scarce for the Sabre Dogs Friday even though they got six runs. Only three Sabre Dogs got a hit. Josh Paino went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI, Alex Hay went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI, and Wilson Roubion went 1-for-4 with a run and two RBI.

The Sabre Dogs will go at it again tomorrow at 7:35 p.m.
