MINOT, ND- The Souris Valley Sabre Dogs win Friday night for the first time since Monday with a 7-6 win that took ten innings.

Josh Mancuso went six innings and allowed two runs. Bradley Spooner came in relief and pitched 3.1 innings with two unearned runs.

As for the hitting, the Sabre Dogs continued their success from yesterday and were able to score seven runs which is the most by the Sabre Dogs at home this season. The highlight was Jase Edwards’ 3 run home run in the bottom of the 4th.

In extras, Crews Taylor was hit by a pitch with the game tied at six. A couple wild pitches later put him at third base with Austin Rayno at the plate. Runners were on second and third with one out, and things were looking good for the Dogs. Heroics were not needed as a pitch was thrown behind him and Crews Taylor came soaring into home for the winning run.

The Sabre Dogs will try to win the series tomorrow at 7:05 p.m.
