WINNING STREAK ENDS AT TWELVE GAMES, DOGS SPLIT WITH HORSEHEADS

CASPER, WY- The Sabre Dogs weren’t able to win both games against the Casper Horseheads as they lost 10-5 Sunday night. The Dogs’ win streak is now over, but they still lead the Lewis Division by a game and a half.

Not a whole lot went right for the Sabre Dogs, especially in the early stage of the game. The Sabre Dogs found themselves down 7-0 before they got their first run in the top of the seventh inning. By then, it was too little, too late. The offense tried to come back with one run in the seventh and four runs in the eighth, but came up short.

On the bright side, Chauncey Callier went 3-for-5 with his league-leading 21st double of the season. Sam Powers also had himself a nice day. He hit the team’s seventh triple of the season in the third inning. On top of that, he also had an RBI single in the seventh inning.

The Sabre Dogs are finished with the Casper Horseheads this season. They went 1-4 against them, and are now 3-5 against Clark Division opponents this year. The Sabre Dogs travel to Aberdeen, SD to face the Hub City Hotshots for a three-game series to finish their road trip. First pitch Monday is at 6:35 p.m.
