What would it look like if we really committed to #MakeMinotAccessible?

It’s one of those things that most of us take for granted — being able to go where we want, when we want, without logistics planning or concerns about how we’re going to get there. I’m talking about not having to worry about barriers like sets of stairs, steps, curbs, irregular thresholds, or the countless other little obstacles that make life for those with a disability a lot more challenging.

But what would Minot look like if we could eliminate these — unseen by many of us — barriers? What message would it send to those among us who quietly persevere through these challenges daily? What would it say about us as a people, as a community? And are those messages ones we could be proud of?

These are just a few of the questions posed by Steve Wright writing at StrongTowns.org, but his focus is on his town — Cleveland. Perhaps these questions are worthy of our own Minot conversations?
