“What profits they will make that day from the sale of gasoline, tires, accessories, and from greasing and washing cars, will be given to the Girl Scouts for their camp fund. The Scouts plan on building a fine structure on a site reserved for them in a beautiful wooded section of west Minot, on property owned by the Minot Park district during the coming summer.”

Why We Chose It

First, sometimes our stories are like seeds. We plant them, and the sprout in an entirely different form in someone else’s pasture. So in case you need a seed for a fundraiser, here’s an old one that worked. And second, you have to be able to parse the code, but the money they were raising was for what would later become the building inside Camp Owetti at Oak Park. It’s still with us today!
