Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports, YMCA merging missions to expand services to the Minot area

Minot’s YMCA is entering a new chapter, joining forces with Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports in a merger aimed at strengthening community health and expanding inclusive services. Prairie Grit will take over ownership and operations of the facility, while keeping the Y’s fitness center, classes, and core programs in place. Leaders from both groups say the move secures the future of the building and accelerates Prairie Grit’s work in therapy and adaptive recreation. Planned upgrades include better accessibility, sensory-friendly spaces, and improved therapy environments.
