Facing budget cuts, Fargo Library will increase nonresidential card fees, limit e-book access
Fargo’s public library system is tightening access next year as it works through a significant budget cut, and the biggest changes will be felt by nonresidents. Annual library cards for those living outside city limits will jump from $20 to $60, and e-book and audiobook access will be limited to Fargo residents. Library leaders say the moves protect core services, avoid staff cuts, and respond to rising digital media costs.
