The police were notified Friday morning that a tragedy had apparently occurred in the river back of Bob McGregor’s residence near the entrance to Eastwood park. Two tracks, one a man’s and the other evidently those of a woman, were seen in the snow approaching the river. Only the man’s tracks returned. There were evidences of a struggle on the river bank, where the snow and ice had been rubbed from a tree trunk. The ice in the river, about the width of a person, had been broken to the middle of the stream.
