Why We Chose It
We tend to think of the world we live in as having always been here. But there was a day, before 1928, when many of Minot’s city roads were still gravel or dirt or mud. That was the reality in a world and time without huge state and federal subsidies. The reality in that era was — if we can’t pay for it ourselves, we can’t have it. And what may be even more remarkable — we were able to pay for it ourselves.
