Mark Nelson and a pugilist from Iowa named Kinney, gave a fifteen round sparring exhibition in the opera house, Friday night after the theater, a crowd of 200 attending. The spectators say they got their money’s worth, and the fighters did too.

Why We Chose It

Before the screens took over, the performers in the local theaters, and there were a few, had real live people on stage on the regular. These events are comparatively rare these days where the spoils of the entertaining professions go to dramatically fewer and fewer these days.
