Why We Chose It
This moment was a short nine months after the attacks on Pearl Harbor, and by the comments of the day, it was clear that we the public were anxious to see more results. But also embedded in the subtext and the stories of the moment is evidence that the mobilization was beginning to work. We the public have little patience, and even less so when we don’t understand the full scope of the job at hand.
