Dick Copeland, who established the first newspaper in Northwestern North Dakota, at Villard, Southeast of Towner near the river, is still actively engaged in the newspaper business in Plumber, Idaho. Although he is 87 years old, he sets his own type, gathers the news, operates the press, and holds all jobs around the plant of his weekly paper from “devil” to business manager. He has been in the printing game for 75 years, and is probably the oldest newspaperman in the world.
