W. O. Doolittle, superintendent of the Minot parks and editor of Parks & Recreation, accompanied by L. E. Chambers, secretary, will leave by auto Sunday for a two weeks’ tour of the parks in Alberta. Special attention will be given to the study of wildlife protection and propagation as practiced in the Canadian National Parks, at Buffalo National Park near Wainwright, Rocky Mountains National Park, Banff and Foremost Antelope Reserve in southern Alberta.

Why We Chose It
Our early leaders so valued what they could learn outside of Minot that it demanded a full two weeks of exploring other places to see what they were doing. They no doubt had some fun in the process, a reality some today would whine and complain about, but there’s enormous value to continuing education and outside perspective. Our early leaders understood they needed to be very intentional about seeking it. That’s worth noting.
