The owner of the quick lunch room at White Earth wanted to play that he was a bad #### and didn’t know how. The White Earth tailor was in his place of business one evening last week, and the proprietor thought it would be smart to make him dance. So he pulled a gun and commanded the tailor to do a few jigging stunts. To make things lively, he shot at the tailor’s toes and one bullet took off a toe. The proprietor of the lunch room became alarmed, closed up his place and took to the tall timber.

First, we added a soft edit. By today’s standards, there’s language in this piece that would offend and advance racist thinking, proving that not all our advances toward political correctness are misplaced “wokism”.
