Why We Chose It
And there it is… the moment the big beverage companies (they were the ones behind the Keep America Beautiful campaigns of this era) started shifting the litter problem onto your shoulders instead of claiming a portion of the responsibility for themselves. It was an exceptionally successful campaign that would letter spur municipal landfills and recycling programs that further shifted the costs of this burden onto the public instead of the producer.
