Why We Chose It

The "Occident" label was under the Russell Miller Co. which started as a small operation in Valley City, later expanded to Minot and beyond. The corporate consolidation of the local milling operation in Minot began in 1954 when the company was purchased by the Peavy Company out of Minneapolis.
