Why We Chose It
I've asked in past versions of this column that we'd do well to figure out what happened to the once-thriving dairy industry. It seems we may be getting closer to the answer. Government meddling with prices made the business tougher and tougher, and with an easier alternative available, i.e. wheat farming -- should we be surprised now at where we ended up -- with virtually no dairy industry at all?
