On This Day | Minot Makes Play for Roosevelt Legacy

Minot is making an effort to get the Roosevelt cabin removed from the state capitol grounds at Bismarck to Riverside Park, which hereafter will be known as Roosevelt Park. The cabin has been permitted to become most fearfully run down. The doors are broken, the mud has fallen between the logs and the windows are broken. The cabin has been in charge of the State Historical Society. Minot will give the historic building the attention it deserves if it is removed here. Roosevelt park is located on the Roosevelt Highway and it is fitting that Teddy’s first North Dakota ranch home should be placed therein.
