Teddy Roosevelt, Joe Ferris and Gregor Lang discuss cattle rustling and lack of law enforcement in a scene from the “Old Four-Eyes” outdoor drama at Medora. Actual events taken from Roosevelt’s life in the Badlands give the show a realistic quality that captures every audience. “Old Four-Eyes” plays nightly Wednesday through Sunday at the Burning Hills Amphitheatre just south of Medora, North Dakota.

Why We Chose It

It is from this production that the Medora Musical tradition sprung up. It’s a noteworthy piece of North Dakota history in its own right, telling the story of another piece of North Dakota history. It does make us wonder though… did anyone think practically about placing a a amphitheater in a place known for “burning hills” 😉
