According to the story handed down for hundreds of years, the old Aune farm in Norway was unoccupied for a hundred years or more. Away back in the 13th century they had the “black death” in Norway and some other European countries and so many people died from it that they wouldn’t live on the farms where they contracted the disease because they thought it was from the soil.
