THE LINTON NEWSMAN threw a little gravel the politicians’ way the other day. He says Kulm staged a novel political rally, inviting all office-seekers, but none of them to make political speeches. Some put on acts, some readings, some musical numbers. He, however, is disappointed that none of them fulfilled his lifelong hope of showing the public how to straddle the fence while keeping an ear to the ground.
