How a 16-year-old school girl blackened the eyes of a man teacher in a schoolroom battle in which the girl exerted fistic prowess and claimed a victory, was revealed here at a school board hearing. The girl’s father, R. O. Signalness, asked the board to discharge the teacher. When the board refused, after the hearing, Signalness agreed to drop the matter and send his children back to school. After the teacher’s eye was blackened, it was charged he retaliated by striking the girl.
