Petitions, the prayer of which was that three suburban additions, Blaisdell-Bird, Garden Valley, and Garden Home subdivisions, be left outside the city limits, were presented to the Minot city commission at its regular meeting yesterday afternoon. All three additions are situated northwest of the present bounds of the municipality.

Why We Chose It
There are good reason and bad for annexations, but one thing is always certain… they’ll draw a crowd of passionate people when done in big blocks. In 1929, our laws provided no recourse for groups of property owners against annexation; today’s laws provide a least a few legal paths might hold back a city determined to add land.
