The State Forest Nursery in connection with the School has just completed their spring shipments of some 170,000 trees. These trees were sent to 352 farmers in 40 counties. These farmers had placed their applications before June 1, 1929, as is required. This enables the Extension Forester to visit the farm and obtain the dimensions of the ground prepared for a future planting plan, as well as to note the condition of preparation.

Why We Chose It
The only thing from Minot’s early years we point out more than trees is local food. Trees are an underappreciated economic engine and community asset, and we seem to — in our age — have almost completely lost sight of this fact. Thought not everyone has… credit to 1,000 Trees for Minot for keeping the candle burning!
