Blue Algae on Minnesota Lake Kills dog; Kids Warned to Stay Away

 

An unfortunate collision of favorable conditions led to an early algae bloom including one toxic variety known as ‘blue algae’ on some Minnesota Lakes. The incident took place on Red Rock Lake but should be a warning to all lake goers on the northern prairie.
