Council debates proposed pedestrian projects
Minot’s City Council spent Monday night weighing a familiar question: how far should the city go to improve pedestrian safety—and at what cost? Several long-planned projects, from school-area curb ramps to a new pedestrian beacon near the fairgrounds, moved a step closer to securing federal funding, but not without spirited debate over priorities. While some members argued the city must act when grant dollars are available, others pushed back, warning against building projects simply because money exists.
