Iconic Dala Horse in Minot to see upgrades soon

Every city has its calling card — and for Minot, few sights are as familiar as the bright red Dala Horse at Scandinavian Heritage Park. After standing tall for nearly 25 years, the beloved symbol of Swedish heritage is set for a grand transformation. A new state tourism grant will help rebuild the horse bigger and stronger, aiming to make it the largest in North America.
