Low tax revenue means no fireworks in Williston

While a drought may keep many of us from lighting fireworks this year, in Williston it’s the City’s budget that’s putting a damper things. Williston’s annual fireworks show costs about $45,000 and is paid for out of the City’s restaurant and hotel tax, and the revenue isn’t flowing at a high enough rate to justify the expense.
