Minneapolis: Despite concern about skyways, downtown web is growing

If you’ve ever been to downtown Minneapolis, you probably noticed all the bridges between buildings. Commonly referenced as the ‘skyway’, the corridor among buildings allows winter walkers to stay warm and sheltered from the elements. But critics claim there are also unintended consequences for the street below — most notably, a lack of vibrancy, people, and ultimately customers.
