North Dakota saw one of its busiest severe weather days in years on September 14, when at least 15 tornadoes touched down across the state. The National Weather Service confirmed multiple EF1 and EF2 storms, with damage stretching from Emmons County to Denhoff, Mercer, and beyond. Barns, homes, and trees were torn apart, and one Denhoff firefighter lost his home. Yet, despite the widespread destruction, no lives were lost—a reminder of both nature’s power and the importance of preparation.
