Two Minot students found themselves at the heart of history this week. Jordn Wolsky and Kalen Hill, both University of Mary students studying abroad in Rome, stood in St. Peter’s Square as white smoke signaled the election of Pope Leo XIV—the first American pope. Alongside tens of thousands, they witnessed the emotion and energy of the moment. Both described it as life-changing, not just for its religious significance, but for the powerful reminder of how faith and culture unite people from around the world.
