The average age of persons killed in July hit a new low for the year. To date in 1957, the average age was 38.4 years. To date in 1958, the average has dropped to 33.9 years. In July of last year the average was 35.9 and this year the July average has dropped to 29.6 years. The age of drivers involved in fatal accidents has been lowering approximately the same degree. The July average for 1957 was 40.7 and this year the July average is 34. The average for the year to date is 35.6 compared with 41.1 a year ago.
