The Minot city schools opened Tuesday with an attendance of approximately 3,200. It costs approximately $800 a day to educate our boys and girls or about 25 cents a day for each student. Minot has a fine school system. It costs a large sum of money to operate our schools annually, but we are getting value received for every dollar expended.

Why We Chose It

That same .25 per day would cost about $5.77 2025… and it would cover a little more than lunch. And while we debate what we should pay for education, let’s not forget to ask what ignorance will cost us, too. Hopefully our education and attention span are strong enough to get us to the answer to both.
