For those who know the Badlands, the news feels personal — Theodore Roosevelt National Park has been named one of National Geographic’s “Best of the World” destinations for 2026. It’s a place that humbles you, not just with its rugged cliffs and golden light, but with its quiet. Out there, it’s possible to stand alone on a butte, wind in your hair, bison below, and remember who you are. North Dakota doesn’t often brag — but this one’s worth it.
