Why does this matter in Minot? We’re on the verge of our own sales tax vote (coming up in June) and the result will be whether we follow in Oklahoma’s foot steps or stay where we are. It’s also a nod to a new notion in economic development — instead of attempting to attract jobs, attempt to attract people by building a nice place.
