On This Day | Winter Blew In

Scenes such as the one above were common in Minot this week as winter weather blew in with a fury. Snow which started to fall over the weekend totalled better than 8 inches by Wednesday. The loose snow piled into some tall drifts on city streets, making traffic hazardous in many places. The .40 inches of moisture contained in the snow was welcomed by farmers, however, who were becoming alarmed by lack of rain this fall.
