Regina city council reaffirmed its decision to add fluoride to the city’s water, rejecting a motion to walk it back just months before implementation. After hours of debate and over 900 pages of public input, the 7-3 vote signals a commitment to public health despite ongoing pushback. While opponents raised concerns about health risks and process, most medical experts and regulatory agencies stood by fluoridation as a safe, effective way to prevent tooth decay.
