Students at the University of Northern Iowa will soon train with the same tools used by professionals in finance and real estate, thanks to a new analytics lab set to open this fall. Funded in part by nearly $25,000 from 32 donors, the lab in the Curris Business Building will feature double-monitor workstations, industry software like CoStar, Argus, and Eikon, and even a ticker display. Faculty say the space will better prepare students for internships and careers, giving UNI graduates a competitive edge. Brooklyn Draisey with Iowa Capital Dispatch has the full story on how one college is earning a competitive advantage.
