Bismarck, Mandan mayors launch effort to create a more welcoming community
Bismarck and Mandan leaders are taking community spirit a step further with the launch of “Where Home is More than Hello.” The new initiative encourages residents and businesses to go beyond casual greetings and actively welcome newcomers into neighborhoods, workplaces, and social circles. Mayors Mike Schmitz and James Froelich say the goal is to help the roughly 1,000 new residents arriving each year feel at home, strengthening both community ties and the local economy. The program includes an online hub to connect people and organizations.
