City faces policy decisions
Minot’s City Council is weighing ideas that could reshape how local business and civic spaces operate. At this week’s meeting, council members debated a proposed “local preference” policy for bid awards — designed to give Minot-area companies a better shot at winning city projects if their bids come close to out-of-state competitors. They also reviewed a consultant’s recommendations to improve traffic flow at the airport and discussed, but took no action on, tightening rules for charitable gaming licenses.
