A Day Away is set to be a semi-regular column (more often if you choose to contribute) telling you about activities, events, and quick-trip getaways. The standard to which we’ll hold to on our suggested activities — can you get there reasonably in a day? Or can you get there and back again in a day away? If the answer is yes, we’ll feature it here. In other words, check it out when you’re looking for something to do this weekend.
So, without further fanfare, for our first A Day Away: A Journey to Journey
What: The band Journey is playing not that far way.
Where & When: Regina, July 21, Winnipeg, July 6
Tickets: For the Regina Show, Tickets on sale February 27. Sale dates for the Winnipeg tickets may be different, we’re not sure.
Know: Both are cool cities, well worth a weekend getaway without a Journey excuse, but if you go make sure you have a passport. Crossing the border isn’t as simple as it used to be.
