Minot’s police headquarters has been holding on since 1956, with only patchwork updates along the way. Now, city leaders are weighing a $13.9 million renovation plan that would unfold in phases, from new investigation offices and training space to a squad car garage. Supporters say the upgrades are overdue and would extend the life of the building, but the price tag has some council members questioning how to balance the need with taxpayers’ limits.
