Minot Police Investigate Physical Altercation Leaving One Man in Critical Condition

On June 18, 2025, shortly before midnight, the Minot Police Department responded to a report of a physical altercation between two males in the 100 block of South Main Street.

Upon arrival, officers found a 19-year-old male with serious head injuries. He was transported to Trinity Hospital, where he was last reported to be in critical condition.

A second individual involved, a 45-year-old male, was located by officers in a nearby apartment. He was interviewed and released pending further investigation.

According to preliminary findings, the incident began when the 45-year-old male confronted the 19-year-old after a door leading to upstairs apartments had been kicked in. The confrontation moved outside, continued down the street, and eventually escalated into a physical altercation.

Investigators determined that the 19-year-old was initially in possession of an airsoft gun, while the 45-year-old was armed with a golf club.

No charges have been filed at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
