The community is invited to help welcome home 118 veterans returning to Minot as part of the Western ND Honor Flight. The veterans are scheduled to arrive at Minot International Airport on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 7:22 p.m. following a memorable trip to Washington, D.C.
During their visit, the veterans toured national landmarks including the Korean War Veterans Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and Arlington National Cemetery. This marks the first time the Western ND Honor Flight will return through Minot.
Organizers are encouraging hundreds of community members to attend the welcome event, bringing cheers, applause, and flags to show appreciation. Service clubs, churches, scout groups, schools, families, and friends are all urged to take part.
Free parking will be available in the long-term parking lot near the terminal. Limited accessible parking will be available in the short-term lot, with free validation stickers provided. Attendees are encouraged to carpool and arrive by 6:30 p.m.
The Honor Flight Network operates 140 regional hubs nationwide with a mission to honor America’s veterans by providing free trips to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice.
