North Dakotans may soon find it easier to invest in certain real estate offerings. The state Insurance Department has rolled back a 2018 rule that required investors in non-traded REITs to hold a net worth ten times greater than their investment amount—a threshold critics say shut many residents out. Commissioner Jon Godfread says the change aligns the state with national standards while still maintaining investor protections. The revised order takes effect immediately and could expand access to income-producing investment options. Edward Segal with KX News has the full story.
