North Dakota Legislative Council adopts Meta AI to speed bill summarizations
North Dakota’s Legislature is getting a digital assistant of its own. Faced with the task of summarizing more than a thousand bills each session, the Legislative Council is turning to Meta’s open-source AI model, LLaMA 3.2, to handle the workload in hours instead of months. Lawmakers say the system will save staff time while keeping sensitive information secure.
