Smithsonian Releases 40,000 Digitized Works of Art to Public Domain

In one single release, the Smithsonian’s Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery have added more than 40,000 pieces of art to the public domain, and changed the nature of museums forever.
